Pull yourself up for Victory!

On May 8, 2024, on the eve of the Victory Day celebration, the patriotic event “Pull Up for Victory!” was held in the city’s Sports Square, organized by the Borisoglebsk Sports School.

This year, more than 150 people from secondary schools, secondary specialized and higher educational institutions of the Borisoglebsk urban district, as well as physical education and sports groups of enterprises took part in the event. Moreover, the age of the youngest participant is only 6 years.

Before the start of the action, a ceremonial raising of the flag of the Russian Federation took place. And then the deputy of the Borisoglebsk City Duma, the director of the Borisoglebsk sports school, Sergei Vladimirovich Fedyunin, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, proposing to honor the memory of the heroes who gave their lives in the fight against fascism with a minute of silence.

And then the participants of the action were able to demonstrate their sports capabilities and skills. The athletes were faced with the task of doing pull-ups a total of at least 1,418 times – the number of days and nights during which the Great Patriotic War lasted. And they met and exceeded this standard!

Thermist of Teplohim JSC Konstantin Putintsev also made his contribution to the general treasury – doing 25 pull-ups!

The sports festival was a great success!
