Open boxing tournament “Peresvet”

From May 10 to 12, the XI open boxing tournament “Peresvet” was held in the Kashira district of the Voronezh region, dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the memory of the Heroes of the Soviet Union and full holders of the Order of Glory – natives of the Kashira land.

More than two hundred athletes from Kursk, Gubkin, Grayvoron, Valueki, Voronezh, Borisoglebsk, Bobrov, Novovoronezh, Liski, Kalach and other regions of the region came to test their strength and skills in the ring. The city of Borisoglebsk was represented at the tournament by the team of the sports club “RATIBOR” SSHOR 33, consisting of 9 people under the leadership of coaches Alexey Kochetkov and Alexander Popov.

At the grand opening of the tournament, the athletes were greeted by the head of the education department of the district administration, Tatyana Sapkina, on behalf of the head of the district administration, Hero of Russia Alexander Ponomarev. The rector of the church in honor of St. Mitrophan of Voronezh in the village named after Dzerzhinsky, Archpriest Stefan Nekrylov, addressed the athletes with a parting word, who wished the athletes to fight honestly and win honestly.

Over three days of competition, 211 fights were held. 83 sets of awards were drawn.

In stubborn and uncompromising battles, our team managed to achieve the following results:

Pozhidaev Arseniy 1st place.

Bogoslovsky Stepan 1st place.

Shishkin Kirill 1st place.

Zaitsev Nikita 2nd place.

Volodchenko Dmitry 2nd place.
