June 22 – Day of Remembrance and Sorrow

June 22 is the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow. This date reminds us of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, of the terrible trials that our people had to endure, and of those who did not return from the battlefields.

The Great Patriotic War became a test for every person, for every corner of our vast country. Millions of people gave their lives for our future, for our right to live in peace and freedom. Their feat will forever remain in our hearts as a symbol of courage, self-sacrifice and loyalty to the Motherland.

We mourn for every soldier lost, for every family that has lost their loved ones. Their sacrifices and suffering cannot be forgotten. And we must preserve and pass on the memory of them to future generations so that they know the value of life and freedom.

May this day remind us of the importance of peace, the pricelessness of every life and responsibility to the future. And may it unite us in a common feeling of sorrow and pride for the feat of our ancestors.
