Participation of JSC Teplokhim in Blood Donor Week

Blood is the lifeblood of our body, and despite all the achievements of medicine, its artificial replacement has not yet been created, so donors remain the only source of this priceless liquid.

Imagine a situation when a person gets into an accident, his life hangs by a thread, and the only chance for salvation is donor blood. Blood transfusions are often done for oncological diseases, after organ transplantation, and for burn patients. That is why blood donation is not just an act of kindness, but often a real chance for life and for the future.

In order to raise people’s awareness of the need for safe blood and its products for transfusion and the importance of gratuitous voluntary blood donation for healthcare systems, National Donor Day is celebrated annually in Russia on April 20. This year, timed to coincide with this holiday and dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the All-Russian Donor Week “Blood Donation” campaign is taking place from April 14 to 21. Heirs of Victory”.

Realizing the importance of the campaign, the employees of JSC Teplokhim readily responded to the call to make their contribution to the blood bank. Moreover, among those gathered were both experienced donors who have been donating blood for many years, and those who decided to take this step for the first time. Medical workers of the blood and its components procurement department provided all the necessary conditions for a comfortable process: from preliminary examination to rehabilitation after donation.
