Conscience and pride
Even in the gray of everyday life, there’s room for small miracles, when the silence is broken by a notification on your phone, and on the screen are lively, tired, but smiling eyes and a voice that says, “Thank you, my dears!”
And today we received just such a video from those of our soldiers who recently received car repair parts from Darya Belyaeva.
And those brief seconds of video with simple frontline gratitude were enough to melt away any distance. It means our help didn’t disappear into obscurity, but arrived at the right place and time. And that stern iron became someone’s accomplished combat mission or saved life. And most importantly, it means our guys there know that there are people in the rear who won’t forget, who won’t give up, but will readily lend a shoulder.
Hold on, my dears! You are our conscience, our pride, and our hope!
