A celebration for those who create the future
There is a date on the Borisoglebsk calendar that is awaited with special anticipation: Machine Builder’s Day. For us, this is not merely an industry holiday, but a day when the city honors the people whose hands sustain its economy. This year, the official celebration took place at the Chernyshevsky Theater—a choice that was symbolic in itself: the stage, usually resounding with applause for performers, became a venue for one evening for those accustomed to the roar of industrial machinery.
The industrial history of Borisoglebsk is a story of people—engineers, designers, lathe operators, milling machine operators, and setup specialists. It is the story of all those who know how to transform blueprints into metal and ideas into finished machines. For decades, their labor has remained the foundation of the city’s prosperity and the basis for its development and confidence in the future.
In keeping with tradition, an exhibition showcasing our machine-building enterprises was held in the foyer, offering an opportunity to share stories of success, achievements, history, and future prospects. Afterward, guests moved to the auditorium, where the celebration was opened by Alexander Anatolyevich Leonov, Head of the Borisoglebsk Urban District Administration. Words of gratitude were expressed to everyone who has made machine building their life’s work, acknowledging their craftsmanship, dedication to the profession, and contribution to the shared future of our region.
Naturally, the highlight of the event was the awards ceremony. Amidst applause, representatives from various enterprises took the stage to receive honorary certificates and letters of appreciation from the Administration in recognition of their high level of professionalism and personal contributions to the industry’s development. Our colleagues were among the honorees.
- Irina Andreyevna Kurmysheva, a personnel training engineer in the HR department, received a letter of appreciation from the Borisoglebsk Urban District Administration.
- Larisa Gennadyevna Pleshakova, a work dispatcher in the production department, was presented with a letter of appreciation from the Governor of the Voronezh Region. Olga Vladimirovna
- Besova, an equipment operations engineer in the Chief Mechanic’s Department, was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Industry and Transport of the Voronezh Region.
- Meanwhile, Sergey Nikolayevich Semyonov, Chief Welder at JSC Teplokhim, received a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation!
We received more than just individual awards. Congratulations on the company’s 20th anniversary, addressed to JSC Teplokhim and its entire staff, arrived from the Borisoglebsk Urban District Administration and the Voronezh Regional Duma—a recognition of the plant’s achievements, the team’s dedicated work, and its contribution to the region’s stability and prosperity.
And, of course, throughout the celebration, guests and honorees alike were treated to a vibrant concert featuring the city’s best performing groups. Music, songs, and dance—everything combined to ensure the day would be long remembered, leaving behind that shared sense of celebration familiar to anyone who has ever stood shoulder-to-shoulder with colleagues.
Machine Builder’s Day is more than just a date on the calendar; it is a day honoring those who build the future with their own hands. And Borisoglebsk certainly has plenty to be proud of!
