A miracle is where they believe in it
They say that other people’s children grow up quickly. What a pity that our own grow up even faster. But have we noticed how we ourselves have grown up? How gray hair has crept into our hair, how the series of days has turned into a fast-moving train with short stops at rare stations of joy.
But December comes again. And in the city decorated with garlands, with the air filled with frost and the barely perceptible smell of tangerines, under the leisurely waltz of snowflakes falling underfoot, the world seems to slow down a little.
New Year is coming soon. Why does it still resonate inside even for adults with some kind of anticipation of magic? And from the dusty boxes of childhood memories comes the smell of the Christmas tree in the house, here and there fallen needles are just trying to stick into your heel, you can hear the voice of a grumbling dad, who is looking for that very burnt-out light bulb in the garland, because of which it does not work completely. The palms seem to become smaller, remembering the feeling of the Christmas tree decorations in them, which you held so carefully, because they were real – glass, so beautiful and always unique. You close your eyes, turning your face to the wind, and feel the warmth of these memories: candies under the tree, such simple gifts that then, there seemed like the limit of dreams, and mom and dad looking over your shoulder to see a smile on your face … The lost world of childhood, in which for happiness it was enough to just eat candies and stay up late, a world that we so naively rushed to leave.
We grew up. The artificial tree no longer smells of pine needles, plastic toys do not break, tangerines are becoming more expensive, and we are full of fuss. Because now we are moms and dads! And we have become those very wizards, responsible for making a miracle happen for our children.
That is why on the eve of the New Year, the enterprise organized a festive performance for the children of the employees of JSC Teplokhim, which became a real event, uniting with its emotions not only children, but also adults, allowing everyone to touch the atmosphere of magic.
In the hall, decorated with bright garlands and shiny tinsel, at the festive tree, the children were met by their favorite fairy-tale characters – funny snowmen, a frog-croaker, the Little Mermaid and the Sea King, but of course, the children with bated breath were waiting for the appearance of the main New Year heroes. And here are the long-awaited guests – Father Frost with his kind smile and Snow Maiden in a dazzling outfit.
Fun games, competitions, songs, the kids were shy, naughty, playing, their eyes were shining with happiness, and laughter and joy filled the hall. Of course, the holiday could not do without sweet gifts that Father Frost prepared for everyone! And at the very end of the holiday, the children were given the opportunity to just be children, to release this irrepressible energy and pampering, having arranged a silver show for them.
And in this carefree fun, the smiles and laughter of the children became a mirror in which the adults saw their brightest feelings. This little New Year’s fairy tale made everyone feel how important it is to keep the child in you, to believe, to wait, to share joy with loved ones.
On this day, everyone brought home not only candies, but also a piece of New Year’s magic, which creeps into the very heart and lights a small flame in it, when you want to look at the high starry sky and believe that not Santa Claus, but someone more almighty will definitely hear you, and everything will be fine. So isn’t this the magic of New Year’s Eve – turning adults into children?
