With deep sorrow and endless gratitude

Today is the day when time seems to stand still, and in the silence you can hear the distant beat of a metronome – June 22 – Day of Remembrance and Sorrow.

84 years ago, millions of lives were suddenly divided into “before” and “after”, the war entered every home, every family, leaving wounds that will never heal.

But today we not only mourn the losses, but also remember the heroic feat of those who stood up to defend the Motherland, who covered the future of their descendants with their own chests. About the soldiers who did not return from the battlefield, about the mothers who did not wait for their sons, about the children who never became adults, about the most unbroken spirit of our people.

We remember because this is not just a date on the calendar, but our responsibility to those who gave us this world, this is the history that we are obliged to pass on to our children and grandchildren.

Light a candle today. Bow your head in a minute of silence. Let each of us feel how thin is this thread between the past and the present, how fragile is the world, and how dear is Victory.

Eternal memory to the fallen. Eternal glory to the living.

With deep sorrow and endless gratitude…
